Are you looking for a really special wine experience?  We will put one together especially for you!  We custom build the schedule around your own interests.  Then follow the tour with a two-course lunch in our superb winery restaurant.  Lunch includes any choice of entrée & main course, or main course and dessert from our à la carte menu, a glass of wine, and choice of tea or coffee.  Prices are all-inclusive.

Tours can include:

  • A  history of Central Otago as a winemaking region
  • Why we specialise in the varieties we do, our climate and 'terroir'
  • The winemaking process, with particular reference to local practises
  • Overview of the world's winemaking regions and differing wine styles
  • Tasting and aspects of wine appreciation in our underground wine cave

Prestige Wine Tour

Private tour through the underground wine cave with a senior member of Gibbston Valley Wines staff.  Tasting of 3 current release wines and 4 older vintage wines selected from our wine library.  Followed by a two-course lunch in our winery restaurant.

$175 per person, Minimum 2 people, Maximum 10.  Bookings required.

Winemaker's Wine Tour

Private tour through the winery and underground wine cave with a member of the winemaking team.  Tasting of seven wines including older vintages and - when available - tank and barrel samples of wines currently in production.
